Metal Gear Saga Vol. 2 is a DVD that was only available by placing a pre-order for Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots at various stores in the US. This copy came from Best Buy, for a deposit of $5. Included inside limited numbers of the DVD was a special insert containing a code granting the holder access to the Metal Gear Online Premiere Beta. However, it was later revealed that some people could not access the beta, due to their code 2 or 3 digits short of the required number.

The DVD takes a look back at the series' main characters. Big Boss, Liquid Snake, Solidus Snake and Solid Snake. It is set in a way that sets the viewer up to believe the narrator is a character in Metal Gear Solid 4 who is hot on the trail of Solid Snake. He dives into Snake's past through old documents and reports on previous missions and retells the events of the series up to MGS4. The content of the disc is the same as the special 20th Anniversary Metal Gear Saga included with the Japanese only 20th Anniversary Collection, only in english.
